First, you need to check whether your PC supports virtualization (VT-x, Virtual Technology) or not and whether it is enabled. To do that, you can use this useful tool: LeoMoon CPU-V. It does not only detect if your CPU supports Hardware Virtualization, but also detects if Hardware Virtualization is enabled in BIOS.

If your check result shows a green check under VT-x Supported, it means your computer supports virtualization. If it’s a red cross, then your computer does not support VT, but you could still install Nox as long as you meet the installation requirements.

If your check result shows a green check under VT-x Enabled, then it means VT is already enabled in your BIOS. If it’s a red cross, then follow the below steps to enable it.

Step 1. To begin, restart or power on your PC. When the first logo of your screen occurs, immediately press the DEL or the F2 key two or three times to enter the BIOS. It depends on the motherboard the BIOS is located on. Common keys to enter the BIOS are Delete, Esc, F1, F2, F10, as well as key combinations like Ctrl + Alt + Delete or Ctrl + Alt + Esc.

Step 2. Once booted into BIOS, it will show the main screen.

Step 3. Go to the Advanced tab, select the CPU Configuration.

Once you select the VT option, change to “Enable“.

Step 4. Press F10 to save the settings in the BIOS and exit.

Step 5. Then reboot your PC to make sure the setting could take effect.

If you are running Windows 10 or Windows 8, there might be conflicts between Microsoft Hyper-V technology and VT. Please disable Hyper-V off following these steps: Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off > uncheck the box before Hyper-V.
